What It Is

The NodeXL Network Server is a command-line program for advanced NodeXL users. It downloads a network from Twitter and stores the network on disk in several file formats. It can only be used in conjunction with NodeXL Excel Template 2014.

How to Install and Run It

1. Install NodeXL Excel Template 2014.
2. Download the Zip file in this release.
3. Unzip the Zip file into any folder on your computer.
4. Read the unzipped NodeXLNetworkServerFAQ.docx file.

Notes for People Who are Upgrading From an Older Version

The NodeXL Network Server program used to be included with earlier versions of NodeXL Excel Template--those with version numbers less than 1.0.1.300, to be specific. Starting with NodeXL Excel Template 2014, it is now a separate add-on program.

If you were using both programs before, here is the upgrade sequence you should follow:

1. Uninstall NodeXL Excel Template
2. Install NodeXL Excel Template 2014.
3. Install the latest release of the NodeXL Network Server.
