New Post: Nodexl and geographic mapping

No. You can add a map as a background image (Graph Options, Other tab, Background, Image), but there is no way to automatically place vertices at geographic coordinates. That's a neat feature that we've talked about but haven't added yet.

If you don't have many vertices and this is a one-time requirement, you can follow these manual steps:

1) Set your map as the background image.

2) Manually drag your vertices to the correct locations on your map.

3) Set NodeXL, Graph, Layout to "None" to prevent NodeXL from moving your vertices when the graph is refreshed.

The problem with this manual approach (apart from it being tedious) is that if you resize the graph pane, your vertices will no longer be in the correct map locations.
