New Post: can't install NodeXL - service pack 1 for vsto fails

Good to hear from you, although I'm sorry you've run into problems with the setup program.

Rather than try to chase this down, I'd rather move you to the latest version of NodeXL. We're retiring the old version (1.0.1.251 and earlier), because the old setup program has garnered so many problem reports over the years--some of them never resolved--that we decided to throw it out and start from scratch. The new version has a much simpler setup, and it doesn't use the "VSTO" version that is causing you grief.

The new version, which is called "NodeXL Excel Template 2014," can be found here:

Please note the following:

1. You have to uninstall the old version of NodeXL before installing this new version. Instructions for doing so are on the download page. This is a one-time thing.
   
2. The new version will update itself automatically as new releases become available.
