Hi - First time 'poster!' - I am just having a play about with NodeXL at the minute and am wondering about the position of nodes within the graph (currently set on Fruchterman-Reingold). I am splitting the graphs from certain Twitter accounts into three different formats: one for 'followers/following,' one for 'mentions,' and one for 'replies.' The graphs are circular, why do some nodes appear closer to the main user in the centre than others? I gather that for 'followers/following' a mutual follower/following relationship corresponds to why people appear closer to the main user in the centre, but how are their positions determined?
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Tony,
The only way I could think of is to look at each user individually on Twitter to see if they follow the other different people in the network? That's what I meant by input manually, although this would be time consuming! And also how would you then be able to put that information into Node XL?
Is there anything in the pipeline as to putting that feature back into Node XL?
