Hi, I'm looking for detailed instructions on how to import a NodeXL file to UCINET.
While it states that it saves as a DL file, it defaults to a txt file, which seems to be what UCINET recognizes. Also, it states that it is saving the file as a full Matrix, but when inputting the txt file and selecting "full matrix" as the option to input the file it is not recognized.
I would very much appreciate if someone can point me to detailed instructions on how to easily export files from NodeXL to the updated version of UCINET.
I appreciate your help!

I tried these steps in two versions of UCINET: 6.474, the latest version as of today; and 6.328, an older version.
1. In NodeXL, go to NodeXL, Data, Export, To UCINET Full Matrix DL File.
2. Answer Yes to the "This will remove any filters..." message.
3. In the Export to UCINET Full Matrix DL File dialog box, specify a file name and click Save. (Confusingly, the DL file needs a TXT extension, and that's the extension NodeXL will use.)
4. In UCINET, go to Data, Import text file, DL.
5. In the Import DL Text File dialog box, select the file you exported from NodeXL and click OK.
6. The following messages appear in the UCINET window:
Successfully opened input file.
Read header information.
Read data for matrix 1
Did clean-up.
Wrote data to disk.
