Hi,
I've occurred some problems while installing NodeXL NodeXL_1.0.1.250.
"An error occurred while installing system components for NodeXL Excel Template. Setup cannot continue until al system components have been successfully installed."
Here are some alternatives I have tried after reading all your posts before:
1) I've downloaded the visual studio file from the official website of Microsoft and tried to install it separately. However, just like others' problems, it said that I don't have application installed that would use visual studio.
2) I've tried to rename my folder '2.0' into '2.0.bak', also didn't work
I really need your help for this. It is driving me crazy. BTW, I'm using Excel 2007 with Windows 7.
Thanks a lot.
Best,
Jin

That's an odd one. It seems to be complaining about something being wrong with one of the pieces of software that NodeXL requires and installs, but with a message that I haven't seen before.
There are three such pieces of software. It's probably not the .NET Framework 3.5, because that comes with Windows 7 and therefore doesn't need to be installed on your computer. Let's rule out one of the other two. You may have tried this already, but please try it again and tell me what happens:
1. Close Excel.
2. Download and install "Visual Studio Tools for Office 3.0 Runtime Service Pack 1" from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=1132.3.
What sort of message do you get in step 2?
